Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how EasyWeek GmbH ("EasyWeek", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the EasyWeek websites, web apps, and mobile apps (collectively, the "Services"). Read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language and other settings, and can also be used to recognise you on return visits. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile apps, and server-side identifiers. In this Policy, all of these are referred to collectively as "cookies".

Some cookies are set by EasyWeek (first-party cookies). Others are set by third parties whose services we embed in our Services, such as analytics or advertising providers (third-party cookies).

2. Categories of cookies we use

We group the cookies and similar technologies used in our Services into four categories. The exact list of vendors and cookie names can be inspected and changed at any time through our consent banner.

2.1. Strictly necessary

Required for the Services to function. They cannot be turned off in our systems. Examples: session identifier, CSRF token, language preference, the record of your cookie consent choices, load-balancing markers. Legal basis: legitimate interest under UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and Regulation 6(1)(b) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) (technical necessity exception).

2.2. Functional

Enable enhanced functionality and personalisation that you may have requested, such as keeping you logged in across sessions, remembering recently viewed businesses or services, and storing UI preferences. Legal basis: your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), except where strictly necessary to deliver a feature you explicitly requested.

2.3. Analytics

Help us understand how visitors interact with our Services so we can improve them — for example, which pages are most viewed, which features are used, and where users encounter errors. We use products such as Google Analytics 4 and Segment for this purpose. In the United Kingdom and Switzerland we only set these cookies after you provide consent through the banner. IP addresses are pseudonymised before processing.

2.4. Marketing

Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to deliver advertising that may be relevant to you across third-party platforms. We use products such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, and TikTok Pixel. These cookies are set only after you provide consent through the banner.

When you first visit our Services from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, a consent banner is displayed. You can accept all, reject all non-essential, or save granular preferences. Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie and re-used until you change it or it expires.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie preferences from the link in the website footer ("Cookie settings"). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Browser and device controls

You can also control cookies directly through your browser. Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies for a particular website or for all websites. Detailed instructions are available in the help section of your browser (for example, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). On mobile devices you can use the operating system advertising controls (Limit Ad Tracking on iOS, Reset Advertising ID on Android) to limit interest-based advertising.

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of our Services from working correctly.

Do Not Track

There is currently no industry-agreed standard for how websites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. We do not respond to such signals at this time, but you can still manage cookies through the banner and your browser settings as described above.

5. Server-side analytics and logs

Our servers automatically log information about every request, including IP address, browser identifier, requested URL, and timestamp. This processing is necessary for security, fraud prevention, and the technical operation of the Services, and is performed under UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest). It does not rely on cookies and is therefore not subject to cookie consent under Recital 49 UK GDPR / Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

6. Changes and contact

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use, applicable law, or industry practice. The current version is available at this URL with the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the consent banner.
